Just before The Toronto Real Estate Board puts out the monthly sold statistics for the GTA here is a look at the median and average list price of homes viewed on one of my listing web sites here in Uxbridge.
The median price tells us that 50% of the potential home buyers were looking above $439,900 and 50% were looking under $439,900. Meanwhile the average list price they looked at was $697,955 read more here

Kathy...not in your area as you know but those numbers do look good to me. That the area is growing is seen in the Dec. column , even with the small dollar difference. Hope that continues for you there.

Barb - The GTA Stats will be out in a few days and they will tell a more complete story being a relatively small area (sales wise) these stats tend to bounce around a little bit more than the larger GTA wide stats do

The big listing can distort the average numbers as seen here.

Kathy, seems like a healthy market if you stick to the medium range.

Brian - it is generally balanced out by the low ones as seen in the figures here.
The average sale for a detached home in Uxbridge in November was $481,310 with the median being $435,000
Ty - Healthy markets are the best, not hot, not cold, just medium
